Checkjbox Help

I am trying to have 8 Check Boxes represent the bits of an 8 bit binary number. I want to be able to change that bit by checking or un-checking the corresponding Check Box add copy the resulting byte to the clipboard.
I am new to VB and seem to be chasing my tail. Any help would be appreciated,
