Hey guys. I'm taking Matlab at my university and I'm having a tough time figuring one last thing out. I'm really new to this so my explanation is probably going to sound dumb and really basic.
So we were given a matrix containing 5 columns all containing a certain type of info. Like one is the year, another is # of hurricanes, another # of major hurricanes, etc.
Basically, I need to know how to get the program to find the highest of one column (ACE) but show what year it happened in (the answer is 2005, I just can't get it to do it)
Here's what it comes out to look like after I run the program:
The max ACE is in *these are what I need*
The max number of tropical storms was in *these are what I need*
The max number of hurricanes was in *these are what I need*
The max number of major hurricanes was in *these are what I need*
The mean ACE is 100.5902
The mean of tropical storms is 10.377
The mean of hurricanes is 6.0984
The mean of major hurricanes in 2.6721
The median ACE is 88
The median of tropical storms is 10
The median of hurricanes is 6
The median of major hurricanes is 2
